Patsy Buttle

Patsy is a Launch Out candidate.  Launch Out is an Archdiocese of Wellington programme for people who wish to work as Lay Pastoral Leaders.

As part of this training, Patsy studied for and gained a Diploma in Pastoral Leadership.

"I have finished the last assessment for the last paper for the diploma in pastoral leadership! - what a long and most interesting journey, a journey TCI helped me start so well and so gently. Those first papers I did really set me up and worked wonders on my self confidence.

These 18 papers have taught me so much, as well as the obvious, learning so much about our wonderful faith, there is so much more to learn, so much I don't know, I feel I have but touched on so many subjects!  but it is more about myself and God, my sheer determination to gain this diploma so that I can serve God in this way in a parish.

Somehow the shy diffident person I was disappeared, to be replaced with a person confident in her faith and her ability to communicate with others, to listen to others and to care.  

My 'yes' to God has rewarded me greatly in the people I have met the experiences I have had and the 'family of Launch Out, I feel very privileged."
