The Catholic Institute of Aotearoa New Zealand (TCI) is the national provider of Catholic theological and religious education qualifications. TCI’s teaching team needs a qualified and energetic educator, advocate and academic leader for a key position in our Wellington office.    

Reporting to the Academic Dean, you will:

  • Lead TCI’s academic capability and teaching competence in either scripture or pastoral ministry
  • Teach nationally registered Certificate and Diploma programmes, using a blended approach
  • Promote TCI programmes through national and local Catholic networks, using a partnership approach
  • Develop teaching resources and techniques that engage and motivate students
  • Make a prominent contribution to TCI’s research culture and the wider academic community

Success in the role will require at least a Masters-level qualification or equivalent in theology, scripture and/or pastoral ministry. 

Help us educate, challenge and encourage those responsible for bringing to life the Gospel message in Catholic schools, parishes, ministries and organisations across New Zealand.
